I love to play around with presenting food—even to myself. I recently tried seared scallops on a hot salt block and loved it. Then I found some slate serving pieces at Crate & Barrel that I brought home, and when I was making lunch I pulled one of them out and made Lunch On Slate.
Sliced meats. Cheeses. A salad down the middle. A pile of rustic sandwiches. I think these slate plates are brilliant. Love.
