News: the first Whole Foods Market is going to open in Nashua, New Hampshire on Tuesday, August 19th. I was invited to a blogger tour #WFM_Nashua days ahead of the new Whole Foods opening…a sneak peak for NH bloggers. Although they were in the process of loading food onto the shelves as we walked around, what I can tell you is the information they gave us sounded super encouraging—so good that I can’t wait to go shopping when it opens.
You’ll be able to locate these green labels down every aisle alerting you to non-GMO products, and they said Whole Foods has committed to labeling GMO and non-GMO products in their stores by 2018.
The Whole Foods brand, 365, offering both conventional and organic, is the best value as far as price in the store. They said there will be daily sale items so you can stock up the freezer, as well as online coupons to print out for extra savings.
There’s a pizza oven. Dough made in the store, organic toppings from what could also be local veggies etc. They will have a smoker to smoke meats, make their own tortillas in the bakery………..
….they have a dried meat locker where they age beef….
…………a whole body aisle packed with natural cosmetics and hand-cut fragrant soaps…
….and this Daily Grind clock, where they will let you know every day the time they will be butchering and grinding meat for the case—-after the pink slime revelation, they wanted you to know that they grind their own meat on the premises, fresh several times a day.
So it’s finally here. I’ve waited months, driving by, wondering when the first Whole Foods in NH would open. It opens Tuesday, August 19th, and 5% of all net sales that day will be donated to local charities. A great reason to start shopping there on opening day. See you there!
