I am so happy to announce that I am participating in a food blogging marathon at the invitation of William Morrow Publishers to celebrate the launch of Patricia Wells' new cookbook, Salad as a Meal: Healthy Main-Dish Salads for Every Season.

I met Patricia in Paris last year in November and filmed a video interview with her about the book which I will add at the end of this post for you to watch.

Now, only days away from its debut, eight other food bloggers and myself have been given the challenge to cook from Salad As A Meal at least three times a week for four weeks, blogging about our experiences and sharing our insights. I know I am going to love this and I hope you enjoy following my exploits in the kitchen (and adding comments as I go I hope!)

Our challenge begins on March 21st, so watch this space because from then on I will be posting the recipes that I cook from the book with loads of pictures, tips, and commentary. So you will be experiencing, along with me, at least 12 recipes from Patricia's new cookbook.

I've also decided to do a Free Cookbook Giveaway Contest. I will be giving away a free copy of Salad As A Meal to a lucky winner at the end of my blogging/cooking challenge on April 22nd. The winner will be announced here on my blog.

So go ahead and enter here for a chance to win your free copy of Patricia Wells' Salad as a Meal: Healthy Main-Dish Salads for Every Season! You will be taken to the official Contest Entry Page! And come on back to watch the following video we did together from Paris!

Food blogging marathon of Salad As A Meal begins here on April 21st!

See you then!

One of my regular lunches when I was living in Paris one summer was a salad lunch at a small cafe near the Picasso Museum. I still try to re-create it at home. Tuna, cheese, tomato, white asparagus, hearts of palm, fabulous dressing and and outside table.
